They give them regular statements of account. Our clients can verify the status of their money, plans, and accounts directly with them at any time.

Our roots & history

From David Forest’s start as a Financial Security Advisor to establishing a boutique insurance services firm serving high-net-worth individuals, we have endeavoured to build a reputation for professionalism and enduring client success, thanks to our easy-to-understand and personalized advice.

1975

David Forest makes his debut in the life insurance business as an agent with London Life.

1980

David earns the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation, finishing top of class out of 400 graduating students. He receives the John A. Tory Gold Medal for achieving the highest marks in Canada.

1987

David’s desire to bring all options and available plans to our clients led to the founding of David Forest Financial Services, an independent advisory firm providing unbiased guidance.

2006

Jean Roy, a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries joins our firm, after 13 years of head office experience with Standard Life. His skills and technical knowledge enhance our firm’s competence in successful estate planning.

 

2013

Financial Security Advisor Bobby Filippelli earns his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation.

 

2015

Jean becomes a partner and shareholder of David Forest Financial Services.

2022

David qualifies for the Top of the Table for the 32nd year. He has been a Qualifying and Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT is a global, independent association of the world’s leading life insurance and financial services professionals. An organization dedicated to encouraging ethical values, sharing ideas and concepts clients have found to be valuable and helping to improve business practices.) for over 45 years.

David Forest Financial Services celebrates its 35th anniversary with a new brand identity that reflects its heritage, marks its evolution, and highlights its reputation as an innovative and excellence-driven independent multigenerational advisory firm to ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

2024

Bobby’s consistent dedication and hard work were rightfully recognized in 2024, culminating in his promotion to Partner. This significant milestone reflects his steadfast commitment to our clients’ financial success.
